Welcome to TAIS Working Group Website!

The goal of TAIS WG is to summarize a present state of knowledge about the induced and triggered seismicity processes and to discuss future trends in the field. Its purpose is also to provide an overview of the capabilities and limitations of current monitoring techniques and interpretation methods as applied to triggered earthquakes to assess and mitigate the seismic hazard.

TAIS Working Group is a part of IASPEI Commission on Seismological Observation and Interpretation, CoSOI (current list of group members can be found here).

The TAIS WG Website was mainly created in order to provide an appropriate worlwide forum to share the experience regarding:

  • monitoring induced events under different technological circumstances
  • ready-for-use processing methods
  • development of new methodologies
  • accounting for human raised factors in the seismic process
  • determining seismic hazard caused by induced phenomena
  • considering triggered and induced seismicity as scale models that can help to understand earthquakes

If you want to join TAIS WG community, please register yourself in our system! As a registered member, you will acquire access to our database of freeware electronic materials (posters, presentations, abstracts and software) related to our area of interests. We encourage you to share your knowledge and experience by uploading your own electronic content.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact us using our web interface, or send an e-mail to: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
